About the BBQ Independent Research Initiative
An online concept for planning transparent computational-science research. No accredited institution, nonprofit status, physical campus, or degree programme is claimed.
Mission & Intended Research Scope
The initiative explores how a future research group might document reproducible work in artificial intelligence, quantum algorithms, high-performance systems, formal verification, and computational biology.
Its current public function is research planning and demonstration. It is not a substitute for a host institution, verified principal investigator, ethics review, grant award, or academic appointment.
Proposed Scientific Directions
- Foundational AI & neuro-symbolic systems: proposed work on statistical learning, formal logic, and theorem-assisted reasoning.
- Quantum information: proposed investigations in error correction, simulation, and routing.
- Scientific provenance & high-performance computing: proposed reproducibility tooling for computational research.
- Formal verification: proposed methods for safety and correctness in autonomous systems.
- Computational biology: proposed analysis methods for multi-omics and spatial data.

Institutional Verification Needed
Before this initiative could support an application to the Claude Team plan for scientists, a real applicant would need to establish a PI-equivalent role and qualifying affiliation with an accredited university or nonprofit research institute. See the eligibility and evidence checklist.
Location & Facilities
The initiative is online and uses Warsaw, Poland as its geographic location. It does not claim premises at CeNT, the Ochota Science Campus, or another organization, and it does not currently claim ownership or allocated access to institutional HPC, laboratory, or teaching facilities.
