Claude Team Plan for Scientists: Eligibility Record
This page separates Anthropic’s published requirements from evidence this initiative can currently substantiate. It is not an application approval or Anthropic endorsement.
Current Status
This initiative does not currently establish the core eligibility condition: a verified principal investigator or equivalent at an accredited university or nonprofit research institute.
The website therefore must not be submitted as proof of eligibility in its present form. Synthetic profiles, illustrative grants, a research-oriented domain name, and a Warsaw location do not establish a qualifying appointment or institutional affiliation.
Published Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant role: the applicant must be a principal investigator or an equivalent research-group leader.
- Qualifying affiliation: the applicant must be affiliated with an accredited university or nonprofit research institute.
- Research field: the group must work in natural science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Excluded organizations: for-profit companies, contract research organizations, and industry R&D teams are not eligible for this promotion.
- Verification: Anthropic verifies eligibility at sign-up and may reject or revoke access where information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Operational conditions: the applicant needs an Anthropic account, must be in an available region, and must provide a valid payment method.
- Group limits: the promotion is limited to 1 plan per lab and 1–25 seats; verified PIs may add members of their lab.
Review the current program page andpromotional terms before applying. Anthropic makes the final eligibility decision.

Information That Must Not Be Used

Promotion Conditions to Expect
The published promotion is limited, lasts 12 months for verified groups, and is not a promise of permanent free or unlimited service. Standard seats are listed at $0 per month and Premium seats at $15 per month during the promotional period; extra usage is separate. A group with no qualifying use for 90 consecutive days may lose promotional pricing. Current terms control if they change.
