Colloquium Summary
On Thursday, August 20, 2026, the BBQ Institute hosted Prof. Henrik Lindqvist from Chalmers University of Technology for the Institute’s late-summer Distinguished Colloquium.
Prof. Lindqvist presented recent breakthroughs from his laboratory on event-driven neuromorphic architectures, highlighting how non-von Neumann computing designs can achieve up to a 100x reduction in energy consumption for continuous sensory data processing and real-time scientific telemetry.
The lecture was attended by more than 80 researchers in person at the CeNT Main Auditorium and over 120 online participants from across European partner institutions.
